Cyclist suffered major trauma in collision on Middleton Way

A cyclist in his early 30s suffered major trauma and was taken to North Manchester General Hospital after a collision on Middleton Way in Middleton (near the roundabout for Oldham Road and Manchester New Road) on Tuesday evening (24 January).

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “We were called shortly before 5.40pm to reports of a collision between a cyclist and silver Ford Mondeo.”

A North West Ambulance spokesperson said: “A patient in his early 30s has been taken to North Manchester General Hospital with major trauma, but there are no signs of serious head injuries.”
