Please support us by ensuring that children are on time and in school every day.

Citizens of the week for week ending 20th January 2017 are The Maths Reasoning Club for excellent behaviour and trying really hard when working at Marland Hill School. Well Done!

Thank you to all Early Years Foundation Stage parents who attended the ‘Getting ready to read workshop’ on Wednesday 18th January. It was fantastic to see so many parents engaged in activities to support their child’s learning. Please can parents return their completed questionnaires to Miss Bradshaw.

We are still experiencing a high number of children being taken out of school during the day for routine medical appointments. Please can parents do everything they can to make these appointments out of school hours. If an appointment has been made for children that cannot be changed, then parents must tell the teacher in the morning when children are dropped off. This is to avoid unnecessary disruption to classes or even tests throughout the day.

Places are available for children across the whole of school in our Breakfast Club. Following feedback from parents, we have extended the hours for this and parents can now drop children off from 8:00am (if they require a breakfast please ensure children arrive before 8.30am.) The price remains the same as last year at only £1 per day and this is exceptional value in comparison to other providers in the area. Payment needs to be made in advance for the half term to secure your child’s place. Places can be full time or for selected days each week. Please see the school office for further details.

We currently have places in our Street Dance class which takes place on a Tuesday morning from 8:00am. These places are available for children from KS1 & KS2. If parents would like their child to attend then please see their class teacher or the school office to reserve a place.
