James Samuel Hurst has been charged with the murder of Matthew McKenzie in Heywood.
Hurst (23/01/1988) of Littlemoor Lane, Oldham, will appear at Bury Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (17 January).
At around 11.25pm on Thursday 12 January 2017, the body of 33-year-old Matthew was discovered by a passer-by in an alleyway to the rear of Promenade Street, Heywood.
A Home Office Post Mortem confirmed that he died as a result of a stab wound in his chest.
A 33-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder has since been bailed until 21 March 2017 pending further enquiries.
