Have your say

Date published: 05 January 2017

Lib Dem Leader Councillor Andy Kelly has called for local residents and businesses to take part in Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council's public question time.

Residents or business rate payers of the Borough can formally put questions to the Leader of the Council Richard Farnell or any member of the Council's Cabinet.

This is an opportunity for people to have their say on any issue they think is appropriate.

According to the Council's Constitution, you can submit any question no longer than 100 words in length to the Council's Chief Executive Steve Rumbelow. In this case, as the January meeting has been cancelled - the next meeting is on 1 March.

Councillor Kelly said: "I have been inundated with people wanting to question the Council Leader and Cabinet on issues like the controversial 34% pay rise for councillors, protecting our green belt, the direction of our town, the state of our roads and much more more. I need to make people aware that they can ask a question by submitting it to the Chief Executive by the middle of February."

To ask a question to the Council Leader Richard Farnell or any RMBC Cabinet Member, email:
