Appeal for cat fosterers

Date published: 05 January 2017

Cats Protection Rochdale Branch, which covers a large area of Greater Manchester including Oldham, Heywood, Middleton, Rossendale and Ramsbottom, is desperately seeking new fosterers for cats and kittens who need to come into their care.

Despite the branch covering such a wide area they have no homing centre, all their cats are cared for in private homes and many who need their help are having to be referred to other rescue organisations due to lack of space.

Volunteers need to provide either a spare room in their home or space for an outdoor pen to be erected in their garden or yard.

Full-time, part-time or emergency-only fostering involves feeding and socialising cats and kittens to prepare them for re-homing.

All food and litter expenses and vet's bills for foster cats are covered by the charity.

Cat lovers who want to help can call the branch on 01706 522440 and leave their details, or to find out more visit;
