Date published: 04 January 2017

A Christmas Fair in Littleborough Cricket Club raised £2,000 for Springhill Hospice.

The event was organised by friends Shannon Clegg and Julie Dunkley and featured a variety of stalls, raffles, tombola, and children's stalls, crafts and activities. Santa was in his grotto so children could hand-deliver their Christmas letters.

The fair was held in memory of Shannon's grandad, Harry Webster, whodied on 19 June 2016.

Shannon said, "We would like to thank all the local businesses for donating raffle prizes and thank everyone who helped out on the day.  Special thanks must go to the people who came and supported the event."
