Zahra Huq raises money for the British Heart Foundation by busking in Rochdale town centre

Date published: 31 December 2016

Zahra Huq, a college student from Rochdale, raised £180 for the British Heart Foundation, busking in the town centre on the New Year's Eve.

Zahra wishes for the younger generation to spare some time in spreading the spirit of care and harmony which surrounds Christmas and New Year.

Zahra said: “I also spent my Christmas afternoon in the Field House Care Home in town singing Christmas carols with residents there.

“I felt for the people away from home and their loved ones at Christmas and I wanted to share my joy with them.”
