Whitworth Road closed due to four car collision
Four cars, including a taxi, were involved in a collision at 6.50am between the junction of Bentley Street and Gale Street on Whitworth Road on Tuesday (27 December).
The road was shut to clear the damage and reopened around 9.30am.
The manager of nearby Tesco Express said: “We went out to help and it looked like most of those involved were in shock. Police and ambulance were there.
“The taxi driver looked as though he had a head injury, and a woman had hurt her arm.
“We brought her into the store to look after her and called her son.”
