Homeless people, refugees, asylum seekers and the needy enjoyed a free Christmas meal on Christmas Day courtesy of Rochdale Community Partnership and KYP.
RCP/KYP hired the former Magistrates Court and dozens of volunteers helped out serving food and drink, along with handing out presents - each present was a bag consisting of a hat, scarf, gloves, a blanket, toothbrush, toothpaste and deodorant.
Rochdale MP Simon Danczuk and Councillor Sultan Ali supported the event and attended.
Mohammed Sheraz, one of organisers, said: "Christmas is a time to bring people together and that includes those who are most in need. As Rochdalians we can and do support each other.
"Volunteers have come from all across Rochdale to help, plan, organise and take part in what is a fantastic event."
Mr Sheraz also revealed a weekly soup kitchen at the old court building will soon be launched on Thursday evenings from 5-7pm.
He said: Everyone in need is welcome.
"We have lots of volunteers but more would be welcome."
Rochdale Community Partnership and KYP wish to thank all the volunteers who helped and the businesses that donated.
Mr Sheraz added: "We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year."
