Staff at Morrison’s help Petrus
For the second year running food has been donated to the Petrus Community by staff at Morrison’s in Bacup.
The donation enabled Petrus, which provides supported housing and services to homeless people, to provide a traditional Christmas meal for people with little to look forward to.
A spokesperson for Petrus said: “Special thanks go to Steve Ashworth who is the manager at the store and the two community champions Samantha and Nicki.
"Once again we are indebted to the fundraising work of Andy O’Sullivan MBE, BEM who kindly donated £500 raised from the entry fees from the Lynne Edmondson trail race and from talks and raffles held locally. In his retirement Andy continues his prolific fundraising efforts and his close relationship with Petrus to ensure that homeless people are not forgotten at this time of year.”
