Out on the streets helping homeless and refugees

Date published: 22 December 2016

Staff from the Pavilion Indian Restaurant and Studio 2 Barbers have been out on the streets giving free food and haircuts to homeless people and refugees in Rochdale.

Having met some of the volunteers on Yorkshire Street, Councillor Chris Furlong said: "Great to meet some young people giving food and haircuts to Rochdale homeless."

Last week, Pennine Solicitors joined forces with charity Petrus to run a soup kitchen outside its head office on Drake Street. The firm gave out soup and bread rolls as well as clothing such as scarves, hats and gloves to the homeless people of Rochdale.
