This is an urgent Rochdale appeal for Syria, a container is going to Aleppo.

Wednesday 21 December is the final day of collection.

The items that are required are

  • Medical supplies - bandages, plasters, paracetamol and first aid kits.
  • Tents and outdoor clothing
  • Food long dated

One of the organisers, Mohammed Sheraz said: "What an amazing response from the community and volunteers all getting involved and doing their bit for charity and Syria. It's a collective response from everybody and even people across Greater Manchester. Today we had just over 50 volunteers that actively participated in helping to pack boxes and sift clothes and make food parcels in the evening. Thank you.

"The big day is Thursday from 5-9pm to load the container. Volunteers are needed from 4pm on at the Magistrates Court to help."
