St Edward's dinner ladies plan to say it with flowers

Date published: 20 December 2016

Dinner ladies from St Edward's School joined Councillor Billy Sheerin clearing out the flower boxes on Castleton Railway station and planting spring flowering bulbs.

Ann Marie Kent volunteered her help, and persuaded her colleagues to copy the good work of the school children who planted wonderful flowers in early June.

Thanks to them, colour will be greeting those traveling by train much earlier next year

Councillor Sheerin said: ”The flowers this year have been amazing and won an award for the Township in Bloom, with a citation from the RHS that the station was thriving, and now with help from the dinner ladies it puts everything on a plate.”
