Date published: 16 December 2016

Kingsway Park High School recently held their GCSE Annual Awards Evening. Former students were invited back into school for an ‘Impressive Awards Ceremony’.

The evening began with a one minute celebration of applause in memory of Ms Janet Galpin, a recently retired teacher of Kingsway Park High School, who sadly passed away in November.

As well as GCSE certificates being awarded there were presentations for varying achievements throughout school life.

  • Resilience & Tenacity: Zahra Siddiquei,
  • Contribution to School Life: Patricia Medeiros,
  • Outstanding Attendance over 5 Years: Nayab Idris,
  • Respect & Good Manners: Finn Kenny,
  • Integrity: Usama Butt, Iqra Bibi, Determination
  • The Student of the Year: Maggie Kowalski

GCSE Certificates were presented and the whole cohort commended for their contribution to the school’s results.

In attendance with Governors and Parents were current and former staff of the school who commented on the outstanding achievements of the students and how this is such a fantastic event to be held in the school.

Headteacher, Deborah Ball said: "It was great to see the students again and catch up on where they are now.

"The levels of progress made by KPHS students places them in the top 25% of National Schools, and this year’s results have been brilliant. I would like to wish all Year 12 students the best of luck for their future success”.
