Jubilee Park lit up with Christmas tree

Date published: 15 December 2016

The Friends of Norden Jubilee Park have installed a 19ft Christmas tree in Jubilee Park for the residents of Norden and surrounding areas to enjoy.

Chairman of Friends of Norden Jubilee Park, Paul Ellison, set about voluntarily doing this festive task for the second year running after local residents questioned last year why there has never been a Christmas tree in Jubilee Park.

Norden’s tree is at the War Memorial, on the other side of the village.

Paul said: “It’s great to see another Christmas Tree this year being put in the park. I would like to give special thanks to Councillor Michael Holly for donating the tree from his own private residence and to John Lawn Agricultural for transporting the tree."
