Siddal Moor host Christmas Party

Date published: 13 December 2016

Over 55 local OAPs and their carers from Millfield Care Home, Briar House, Heywood Court and others were invited to a Christmas Party held for them at Siddal Moor Sports College.

After a lunch of pie and peas and all the usual trimmings, mince pies, tea and coffee, the guests enjoyed an afternoon of entertainment with solo singing performances from Holly Albiston, Rocking around the Christmas Tree and Holly Hughes, Walking in a Winter Wonderland.

They also had a performance from the students on the Performing Arts Course, who showed off a dance routine.

Father Christmas arrived and mingled for a little while. Guests were given raffle tickets on arrival and a raffle was drawn with lots of different prizes were won. Each guest left with a ‘goodie bag’.

A fabulous afternoon was had by all and the event once again was an overwhelming success.

Mr Cook and Mr Mulqueen would like to thank everyone for attending and to all the students and staff who organised and helped out on the day.

Mr Cook and Mr Mulqueen, with the help of students from Year 10 and 11 organised the whole event.
