Rotary Club of Rochdale raised £1,000 to support RCT

Date published: 12 December 2016

The Rotary Club of Rochdale has raised £1,000 to support Rochdale Connections Trust (RCT).

The President of The Rotary Club of Rochdale, John Holder, along with Rotarian John Kay, a director of Rochdale Online, who is a Founder Trustee of RCT, presented the cheque for £1,000 to Kathy Thomas, CEO of RCT.

The money was raised as part of a fundraising exercise at the Bank Gallery where watercolour artist Geoff Butterworth is displaying over 100 paintings.

Geoff provided prizes for a raffle and donated 20% of the paintings and prints sold.

The project, which was supported by Barclays Bank, finished on 24 November with an evening of RCT.

RCT was founded over 20 years ago, and runs courses and provides support for so many men, women and young people who are going through difficult times, but with counselling, training and support can raise their self-esteem and make a better future for themselves and their families.
