Bull’s Head celebrates victory as planning application for vet’s rejected a second time

Date published: 07 December 2016

The Bulls’ Head in Smallbridge is here to stay as a pub after a second planning application to convert to a vets surgery was rejected.

Landlady Kay Bevan said: “It’s fantastic news. We’re pleased to have won and hope that this is the last time we have to face this.”

Tenants Paul Quinn and Kay Bevan, who have run the thriving local community pub for five-and-a-half years, discovered the plans when they were posted on a lamp post outside the property in early November- just months after the first application was rejected.

Kent-based owners Prontoserve Ltd have unsuccessfully applied twice to convert the pub into a vets.
