Liberal Democrat leadership contender visits Middleton

Liberal Democrat leadership contender Chris Huhne MP dropped in to support Rhoda Morley, Councillor Wera Hobhouse and the Lib Dem team in Middleton North By-Election during his recent visit to Manchester. 

Mr Huhne said of his visit: "I am delighted to come to Middleton h to support Rhoda’s campaign, listening to local residents tell me that Labour have neglected Middleton tells me that Rhoda and her team will win on Thursday. Liberal Democrats are winning across the country and Middleton will be a place to watch in future years".

Rhoda Morley, Liberal Democrat candidate in Middleton North said: “Chris Huhne coming to Middleton North shows the importance the Liberal Democrats place in making change in Middleton, the Labour Party have taken Middleton for granted for too long, change is on its way and residents tell me they will be supporting the winning team.  I am grateful that Chris took time out of his busy schedule to visit Middleton. 

Councillor Wera Hobhouse, Middleton North Parliamentary Spokesman added: “I am grateful to Chris Huhne for coming and supporting the team in Middleton North, we have shown over the past few weeks that the Liberal Democrats provide real opportunity for change and the only alternative to Labour.
