Business owners and residents in Rochdale town centre are worried as the River Roch through the centre of town reaches its highest level since the devastating flood in December last year.
There is no flood warning in place for the town centre from the Environment Agency, however the river is close to the top of the arches of the bridge crossing to the bottom of Yorkshire Street.
Greg Couzens, whose hairdressing salon is on The Walk said: "Very worrying scenes tonight in Rochdale. It's almost 12 months since the major flood and many businesses have only just recovered, but on close inspection it appears that the river opening is coping with the volume of water."
