Thousands of pounds have been raised to cover the costs of Talaina Hussain’s funeral, after she tragically lost her life following a car accident on Monday (14 November).

A statement on the fundraising page reads: “I’m setting up this page to help support the wonderful family of Talaina Hussain, who was involved in a tragic accident and sadly lost her life.
“Talaina was a beautiful, kind-hearted, caring, respectful, young woman who was just starting her life. The 18 years of joy that she gave to her family and all the memories she made will never be forgotten, but this devastating accident has left behind a broken-hearted mother and father, sister and brother, friends and family.
“Talaina’s mother and father have taken the brave decision to donate her organs and her heart of gold will live on in someone else... so let’s help them give her the best send-off she deserves.”
Bouquets of flowers, candles, heartfelt messages and photographs have been left at the wall where the car Talaina was in collided.
St Cuthbert’s RC High School, where Talaina was a pupil, also released a tribute in her memory.
It reads: “Our school community are deeply saddened to hear of the death of Talaina Cullen.
“Talaina is fondly remembered by us all and she will be deeply missed.
“We would like to offer the deepest of sympathy to Talaina's family and friends as we remember them in our prayers.
“‘In sorrow and tears I watched you go away, but God will give you back to me in joy and gladness for ever.’ Baruch 4: 23.”
