Ice and snow forecast for overnight

Date published: 17 November 2016

Heavy, gusty showers will move eastwards this morning, Thursday 17 November, with hail and thunder likely.

Sunshine and scattered showers will then follow, with a wintry element over higher ground, and it'll feel cold in the strong winds.

Wintry showers later on Thursday and overnight into Friday will lead to some ice, primarily on untreated surfaces but perhaps also where grit is washed off by frequent showers.

Snow is likely over the hills and it will be cold, with a patchy frost possible.
