The Rotary Club of Middleton Father Christmas float will be taking to the streets of Middleton throughout December, starting on Monday 5 December and completing its journey on Friday 16 December.

Lee Wolf, chairman of Rotary Middleton’s Community Service team, said: “Last year the float raised over £7,000 which was given out to local causes.

“As always we are reliant on volunteers to help with the float in what is an extremely busy and tight two week programme and I would like to ask for members of the Middleton community to consider volunteering to help us with the collection. Each evening takes about two to two and a half hours."
