Beech House School Year 1 and Year 2 at the Remembrance Day Service at the War Memorial in Rochdale town centre.
Beech House School Year 1 and Year 2 attended the Remembrance Day Service at the War Memorial in Rochdale town centre.
After a slippery walk down through the park we arrived at the war memorial just before 11.00am where we then waited for the service to start and the minute silence.
We all stood very still to pay our respects.
Haydar Shahzad, Year 1, and Jamine Salaman, Year 2, then went to lay the poppy wreaths we had made on the memorial.
When the service had finished, we waited to speak with the Mayor of Rochdale who thanked us for attending.
We then made the trip back up the hill through the park to be back in time for lunch.
