Teenage girl in critical condition following a collision in Rochdale

A teenager is in critical condition following a collision involving a green Peugeot 206 and a wall on Dewhirst Road, Syke at around 9.30pm on Monday (14 November).

Emergency services attended and the front seat passenger of the car, an 18-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with head injuries where she remains in a critical condition.

Road closures were in place until the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to get in contact.

Police Constable Dermot Murray of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “As part of our investigation, we are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who has dashcam footage to contact us.

“The scene of a collision can be extremely intricate so we need as much information as possible to be able to fully establish the circumstances.”

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses after a woman has been left in a critical condition in Rochdale.
