Hamer Community Primary School

Date published: 12 November 2016

Our children observed a period of silence on Friday 11 November to mark Armistice Day.

We have also been selling poppies, wristbands and other items throughout the week to raise money for the British Legions Poppy Appeal. We still have some items available for the children to purchase. However, unfortunately, we have now sold all of the slap wristbands.

Thank you from Mr Nadin & Mrs Coward to the parents who attended the E – safety session this week. This session provided some helpful tips to ensure that children stay safe when using the internet and we hope parents found it useful.

The deadline for ordering school photographs was Friday, but we will extend this to the end of school on Monday 14 November for any last minute orders. Please send the correct change with your orders, as this money goes directly to the photographers and is not dealt with in the school office.

A huge thank you to everyone who have sent in donations towards the Operation Christmas Child. Miss Holden will now be arranging for the boxes to be posted to needy children around the world. As always the generosity is really appreciated by the school.

It is once again approaching the time of year when we encounter issues with the subway outside school. We will continue to log our concerns with the council, but please can parents do the same, as the more they hear about it, the more chance we have of getting a solution. Thank you.
