Young girl terrified after being woken by thieves wearing balaclavas

A 12-year-old girl has been left terrified after thieves wearing balaclavas broke into her home in Stocksgate, Caldershaw.
The offenders woke the family in the early hours of Thursday 20 October, after smashing a patio door around 2.45am.
The young girl is understood to have woken to the sight of the masked thieves standing in her bedroom doorway and has been left shaken by the event.
A family member believes the thieves were in pursuit of car keys, after hearing of several local car thefts.
Money and goods were stolen.
