Friends of Hopwood Park ‘Outstanding’ in RHS Britain In Bloom awards

Date published: 29 October 2016

The Friends of Hopwood Park have achieved a level five 'Outstanding' award for the second year running at the ‘It’s Your Neighbourhood’ awards at the Royal Horticultural Society’s North West In Bloom Competition.

Chairwoman of the Friends of Hopwood Park, Sandra Trickett, said: “We are delighted that Friends of Hopwood Park received level five outstanding for the second year running.”

CEO and chairwoman of Heywood In Bloom, Ellen Wintle Yates, said: “A lot of hard work goes into an award of outstanding. Thanks to all those involved in creating a wonderful park and a great community area all of Heywood can be proud of. We quickly forget just how bad a state this area reached before Sandra and the Friends turned it around.”
