Motorcyclist injured after avoiding pothole

Date published: 28 October 2016

A learner motorbike rider hurt her back after avoiding a pot hole on Moss Hall Road on Tuesday (25 October).

Greater Manchester Police and North West Ambulance attended the incident.

A North West Ambulance spokesperson said: “We were called at 2.51pm and attended the scene.”

A local woman, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “She was waiting around half an hour for the ambulance to arrive. I believe this time is absolutely appalling and should never be the norm or accepted as such.”

The pothole on Moss Hall Road has been filled in twice this year.

Pot holes were addressed at the latest council meeting on 19 October. Of the 16,047 complaints about potholes in the last year across Greater Manchester, 295 were made in the Rochdale Metropolitan Borough.
