Inspector Andrew Fern, of GMP’ s Rochdale Borough, said: “We are continuing to work closely with Rochdale Boroughwide Housing to make sure the impact on the residents of the area is minimised.

“Gluing locks is extremely dangerous and has caused a huge amount of distress to the victims, who worry how they would escape their home in the event of a fire or other emergency.

“I would like to thank those who have already contacted us but encourage those that haven’ t to report any suspicions or information to us as soon as possible.”
