Two men taken to hospital after car collided with a wall

Two men believed to be in their 30s have been taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary after their car collided with a wall on Halifax Road, Rochdale just before 1.00am this morning (Friday 28 October).

Two fire engines from Rochdale, a Technical Response Unit and a Major Rescue unit, along with North West Ambulance and Greater Manchester Police were called to the scene.

Firefighters released both men from the vehicle using cutting gear, lighting, hearth kit and a hose reel.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Both men received injuries with one receiving arm injuries.

“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information should call police on 101.”
