Mayor visits Ashworth Valley and meets the new Friends Group

Mayor Ray Dutton was introduced to members of Friends of Ashworth Valley Group following a visit to the Scout camp.
He had a tour around the private gardens of the historic Ashworth Hall before seeing the newly installed planters and benches in The Fold.
Afternoon tea was then enjoyed by all.
The Friends of Ashworth Valley friends group was officially formed on 30 September 2016.
The Friends group are repairing benches, installing new benches, installing tyre planters, planting flowers and daffodil bulbs and cutting back hedges.
