Fans of the popular Snapper Jaxx kids’ club, gathered at Rochdale Exchange during the school holidays for a Roald Dahl-themed fun day to celebrate Roald Dahl’s 100th birthday.

Parents and children joined the centre’s joyful foodie friends, Sylvia Sweetheart and Bubblegum Ben on Monday (24 October),

Throughout the day Snapper Jaxx fans enjoyed creating their own imaginary magical munchies inspired by the author’s love for fantasy food including lollipops and chocolate bars.

Lorenzo O’Reilly, Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre manager, said the final Snapper Jaxx Kids’ Club of 2016 was a huge success.

He added: “It was fantastic to see so many families enjoying the children’s activities on Monday.

“This month’s themed club was hugely popular and we were so pleased to be able to celebrate Roald Dahl’s 100th birthday.

“Snapper Jaxx has been a massive success with the people of Rochdale throughout 2016.

“We would like to thank everyone for coming along to the kids’ club and we hope everyone has enjoyed taking part in the themed activities throughout the year.”
