Man arrested after car chase

A 24-year-old man was arrested for dangerous driving and theft of a vehicle following a car chase from Oldham to Rochdale.
The man stole a silver Mercedes Benz from Morris Street in Oldham and was pursued by the owner and several other men in a BMW at around 3pm on Tuesday 18 October.
The chase ended on Rochdale Road, Firgrove when traffic came to a standstill.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “A traffic obstruction was caused as an altercation took place, but it wasn’t serious.”
