Anna Friel has been nominated in the National Television Awards for her role as DS Marcella Backland in ITV’s crime-thriller series, ‘Marcella’.
Rochdale-born Anna has been nominated in the ‘Drama Performance’ category. ‘Marcella’ has been nominated in the ‘Drama’ category..
‘Marcella’ was one of ITV’s top rated dramas after its first series was broadcast in May this year, and a second series has been commissioned.
Voting is open across fifteen categories until Sunday 23 October.
The awards show will be broadcast on 25 January 2017 live from The O2 London.
