Five Year 9 students from Kingsway Park were awarded first prize by the Mayor of Rochdale, Ray Dutton, for a competition they entered to design a placard to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the Battle of the Somme.
The winning students were then invited to attend afternoon refreshments at Rochdale Town Hall, with the Mayor and Mayoress of Rochdale, where they were awarded with prizes for their winning entry.
The students were then taken on a tour of Rochdale Town Hall. A brilliant achievement and a fantastic day. Well done to all the students involved.
Students and staff of Kingsway Park High School, had a food collection for the Rochdale Foodbank recently.
Their generous donations over a 2-day period, have been sent to the foodbank which will help the people of Rochdale, who are in crisis, by providing emergency foodboxes and support when they need it most.
Thank you to everyone who made a donation, your support is extremely valued.
