Lancashire & Cheshire Woodcarvers held their 'Annual Showcase' at Spotland Methodist Church on Saturday (15 October).

A large exhibition of club member's carvings showcased a wide variety of carving styles and designs.

There was also demonstrations of different craving styles and visitors got the opportunity to try wood carving for themselves.

The Mayor Ray Dutton and Mayoress Elaine Dutton attended and the Mayoress took the opportunity to try her hand at carving.

Mayor Dutton said: "I was delighted to attend. I didn't know what to expect when I arrived but the work on show is superb. It was nice to see so many people appreciating the creativity and work involved."
