Local actor Colin Meredith will be hitting our television screens from Tuesday (18 October) as silver surfer Bernard in Sky’s Mount Pleasant.

Colin is due to appear in episodes eight and ten. He first appears in church where he makes eye contact with Nana Miller (played by Ellen Thomas), a lady he has spoken to through online dating websites, despite Nana being an admirer of Barry (played by Bobby Ball).

Nana and Bernard go on several dates before Barry catches them.

The actor filmed his parts in three days in Manchester and Cheshire.

One scene sees Bobby Ball pour a milkshake over Colin’s head, which was filmed with one take.

Of his appearance, Colin said: “It was very enjoyable to work with Bobby and Ellen. I’m a fan of Mount Pleasant so I do watch it a lot, so it was nice to be in it.”
