Police appealing for witnesses after a serious collision in Middleton

At around 5.40pm on Sunday 9 October 2016, police were called to reports of a collision between an orange KTM Duke motorcycle and a blue Peugeot 206 on Grimshaw Lane, Middleton.
Emergency services attended and a 26-year-old man, who was riding the motorbike, suffered head injuries, a broken wrist and a broken knee. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
A 50-year-old man, who was driving the Peugeot, also suffered cuts to the face.
Police have launched an investigation and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision.
Police Constable Paul Joynson of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “A 26-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital with nasty injuries and I’m urging anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the orange motorcycle being ridden prior to the collision to get in contact.”
