Middleton Rotary Club is lending a helping hand to Middleton's British Dance Champions Andre Toader and Mia Linnik-Holden. The club is helping to fund the dance couple’s attendance at the World Dance Championships which will be taking place in Paris in December.

Lee Wolf, from Rotary Middleton, said: "We have supported Andrei and Mia in the past and we have been highly delighted with their successes and we are only too happy to assist them getting to the Championships in Paris. We have agreed to fund their travel costs and wish them 'bon chance' in December."

Maxine Holden, Mia’s mum said: “Thank you to the Middleton Rotary Club for their support of Andrei and Mia. We can't thank you enough.”

In September Mia and Andrei became the Gateway Super League Junior Champions Ballroom & Latin champions and in July they were 2nd in Bournemouth Masters U16 Ten Dance Championships.

The duo, who have been dancing together since May 2015, have risen fast within the junior ballroom and Latin ranks and were the UK Close U14 Ballroom and Latin Champions as well as the Dutch Open WDC UK U14 Ballroom and Latin Finalists, International U14 Finalists, WDC U14 World Ballroom Champions, U14 World Latin Vice Champions and British National U16 Ballroom and Latin Finalists placing third in Ballroom and fourth in Latin.

Mia started dancing at the age of six after asking her parents for lessons.
