Date published: 06 October 2016

A motorbike and jewellery were stolen from an address on Kiln Lane in Milnrow between 4.45pm and 5.20pm on Saturday (1 October).

The thieves forced their way into the address before taking the jewellery and keys to a silver Suzuki SV1000, which was then stolen from a garage in the garden of the property.

The registration plate is GX53 KXU.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

“If you have any information about the motorbike, please contact GMP on 101 quoting log number 1866 of 1 October.

“Please take your time to study the [jewellery] items - if you know of someone who has recently acquired jewellery fitting the below description, yet does not have the means to buy such items, please contact 101 without delay, quoting crime reference number 181545V/16.

“Some of the items may be offered to pawn brokers and we are also appealing to them to do the right thing and refuse to purchase the jewellery and check for CCTV footage you may have captured in the process.

“You can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.

“Remember, it always pays to take photographs of precious items.”
