Two taken to hospital after car overturns on Drake Street

Two people were taken to Royal Oldham Hospital after a blue Ford Zetec overturned following a collision with a blue Audi A1 on the junction of Drake Street and School Lane, just after 9.00am on Thursday morning (8 October).

Four people were checked over, including a woman and her two young children, who were in the Ford Zetec.

The injuries sustained by those taken to hospital are not believed to be serious.

An ambulance spokesperson said: “Two ambulances and a helicopter attended; the patients were taken to hospital by road.

“A Hazardous Area Response Team and a Rapid Response Unit also attended, but the hazard response was not required.”

Two fire engines from Rochdale and a technical response unit also attended the scene.
