Julie Halliwell, Chief Executive, Springhill Hospice responds to the break-in at Springhill Tea Room & Gift Shop in the early hours on Monday (3 October).

“Following the recent break-in at our Tea Rooms, I have been totally overwhelmed by the support and kindness of the people within the Borough, and further afield.

"I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has offered their support either through financial donations, contributions of goods for our fundraising department, offers to assist us repair the damage or simply by offering kind words of support.

"It is so pleasing to see that in the face of adversity, people within the Borough have assisted us to regain perspective, and get on with the most important part of our work in providing care and support to our patients and their families.

"Thank you to you all – you are amazing.”
