Public exhibition: New link road between junction 19 of the M62 and Pilsworth Road

Date published: 06 October 2016

Members of the community will get a further opportunity to discuss plans for a new development in South Heywood, which includes a new 2.5 kilometre link road between junction 19 of the M62 and Pilsworth Road, alongside new employment development and homes.

Residents are invited to attend a public exhibition event to view plans for the proposals by regional housebuilder and developer, Russell Homes. This follows initial public exhibitions held in July.

Russell Homes is now inviting the local community and businesses to view more detailed plans for the site, which could create commercial space for 2,250 new jobs, as well as new homes for the area.

The events will be held at Hopwood Sports and Social Club, Manchester Road, Heywood on Monday 10 October between 3pm and 7:30pm and at St Mary’s Church, Langley Lane, Birch on Tuesday 11 October between 3pm and 7:30pm. Members of the development team will be available to discuss the proposals and answer queries.
