Staff threatened by armed men in robbery at Rochdale Cricket Club

Three men armed with a crowbar, a hammer and an axe threatened staff members and locked them in an office during a robbery at Rochdale Cricket, Lacrosse and Squash Club.

The men robbed the club, on Bridgefold Road,  in the early hours of Sunday morning (2 October) and escaped with a quantity of cash.

Police were called shortly after 2.15am.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 and quote the reference number 282 of 02/10/16.

“Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
