Beech House win in seven categories in Art Competition

Date published: 04 October 2016

Beech House School hosted the Independent Schools’ Association North of England Arts Festival and got off with a flying start. Beech House School are delighted to report that the Art department achieved another successful year in the competition winning in seven categories.

There were also a number of second and third place certificates.

Competing with 15 other top schools across the North the exhibition had 174 pieces of art work in 30 different categories with work from children aged from two to eighteen.

This made for a stunning collection from photography to sculpture, from charcoal sketches to oil painting, from textile design to computer animation.

The region’s young artists showed that the coming generation is more creative than ever.

The winning pieces will now be displayed at the National Finals which is being held at Grantham in November.

The work was judged by local artists David Bebbington, and Veronica Swinden.
