Wheelie bin fire – Heywood

At 1.11am on Tuesday (4 October) three fire crews from Bury and Heywood were called to a building fire in Bury New Road, Heywood.

On arrival, firefighters dealt with a fire involving four wheelie bins at the side of a building using a hose reel. The fire caused heat damage to two windows on the gable end. Firefighters spent about 25 minutes at the scene.

It is believed the most likely cause of the fire is deliberate.
