Counter service not re-opening at Heywood Police Station

Following speculation that Heywood Police Station will be re-opening a counter service, Greater Manchester Police has confirmed that this is not the case.
A spokesperson for GMP said: “There will be no change at Heywood station.
“The station will remain open for neighbouring officers and Police Community Support Officers.”
The public enquiry counter was closed in 2012.
