Work on The Walk underway

Work to lay paving stones on The Walk is underway, with half of the street already paved to match the stones surrounding the newly refurbished river site.

Greg Couzens, who owns a hair salon on The Walk, said: “They’re outside my salon now. The bedding has been laid and the stones just need laying.”

Work has been carried out overnight to cause as little disruption as possible, due to the narrowness of the street.

The paving is expected to be completed by December.
