College staff run Rochdale 10k/half marathon

Six members of staff from Hopwood Hall College have been keeping fit for work by running the Rochdale 10k or half marathon at the weekend.

Lindsay Hurst, the College Marketing & Admissions Manager, said: “It was tough route taking in the scenic Rochdale Canal and Hollingworth Lake in Littleborough, plus the newly developed Town Centre, but everyone finished and felt a real sense of accomplishment having crossed the finish line.

“The photo is from before the race. I did not look like this afterwards. It was a killer.”

The half marathon runners came in between one hour 50 minutes and one hour 58 minutes and the 10k runners were between 58 minutes and one hour three minutes.
